    Job Description

    Job Summary: Our nationwide client that has been in business for over 90 years is looking for a CEI Construction Manager to join their team. The CEI Construction Manager duties include:

    • Direct construction engineering administration and inspection project/program
    • Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members; develop and/or review project specific policies, methods, practices, and procedures
    • Making and checking engineering computations and Supervise lower level CEI Inspectors
    • Inspecting construction work and conducting field tests
    • Writes daily inspection reports, performs verification testing, and documents test results
    • Assists in all types of record keeping and field measurements
    • Developing and maintaining an excellent professional relationship with those organizations to facilitate both the successful completion of current ongoing projects
    • Reviewing technical work and reports prepared by others
    • Managing projects so that schedules and budget are met
    • Dependable and always follow proper/strict safety protocols
    • Possess high integrity and ethics in all aspects of dealing with clients, subcontractors and peers

    Location: Madison County, IL
    Position type: Full Time, Direct Hire
    Pay: Starting at $40,000/yr, BOE

    • BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
    • 6 years of progressive experience in road and bridge construction
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Inspectors
    • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
    • Possess or capable of passing IDOT Certification Course for Construction Documentation of Contract Quantities, SWPPP
    • Proficiency, experience, and understanding of IDOT roadway specifications
    • PE Registration is desirable, but not required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
