INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TECHNICIAN
The City of Collinsville is accepting applications for the position of IT Technician. This is a full-time, non-union, non-exempt position that reports to the IT Director. This position will be responsible for supporting all end-user devices including PCs/laptops, smartphones, IP phones, and printers/MFPs and will provide end-user support for all software used by city employees. The technician will be responsible for supporting the City's network infrastructure, which includes switches, firewalls, APs, and point-to-point wireless devices. The technician will also maintain, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot technical issues on the city’s IP phone system and both physical and virtual Windows-based servers in a VMware environment.
Software used by the City includes Windows operating systems, MS Office, Sophos antivirus, Esri GIS, Tyler Technologies-New World CAD, among many others.
The successful applicant must have at least an Associate Degree in Computer Science, Network Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university, at least three years of relevant work experience, or some combination of equivalent industry certifications and relevant work experience.
SALARY and BENEFITS
Starting salary range is $55,538 - $60,116. The City of Collinsville offers a comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, vision and prescription 100% funded by the City for single coverage. Pension is with the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
